today was one of those days. the one before the holiday where you dont expect to get much work done, where you hope to get dismissed early, where you have loads of other thing running through your mind...
i worked from home today, with the grand plan of completing my work to do list by noon (finished todays and next wednesdays by then), having my boss dismiss us early (he did not to my knowledge), going to get my hair highlighted at 2:30 (i was 30 mins late), run out to get t a couple dvds for his stocking........
instead my plan was interupted when i noticed several cars turning around in driveway. i went outside to see what the deal was on my road to see my next door neighbors house in flames, and not little flames. their house was engulfed and then it exploded. the wind was really strong and the flames began to spread into the 2acre woods that seperate us. the flames were at least 150-200 feet high. we immediately ran back in the house put the cat in the carrier, ripped little k out of her nap and jumped in the car and left our house behind.
i have no idea what is happening. as i passed a neighbor i gave her my #. awaiting her call.....

Oh wow....praying all is okay at your house! So glad you noticed and are away safely!
OMG. I am so glad that you, your daughter and cat were able to get out of there safely and I am praying that your house remains blissfully unaffected by this blaze. *hugs*
