It's been months since Rebecca hosted this, but as I lay here in my warm bed this morning it came to mind. Since I am on my phone I can't post the cool picture that goes along with tye title...sorry
sight-bits of sunlight trying to make it past my drawn bedroom shades and curtains
sound-k and t down stairs talking. She is thanking him for something. The cat at the bottom of the stairs scratching at the walls in an effort to get up here to K's bed.
taste-The need to brush my teeth
feel-The warmth of my flannel sheets surrounding my body. The beginning stages of feeling this baby move inside my womb.
smell-Nothing at all. My nose is stuffed up for like the 135th day in a row.
What are your senses telling you right now?

Friday Night Leftovers - post Thanksgiving edition
Can't believe it can you? Two weeks in a row I am on time with FNLO's!! Thanks to Danifred for hosting, the clean up from this left over is much easier than the one I cleaned up yesterday!
- Ahh yes, Thanksgiving is done. All that prep work, baking, mashing, mixing, and carving....over in a matter of minutes!
- I prefer to sit at the kids table. It is in the kitchen, where the food is, so there are no lines to contend with when we want more.
- Our Turkey day was fairly uneventful. T's family gets along pretty well and K is the star of the show, so everyone is pretty glad to spend the day with her and be entertained.
- After most everyone had left we were sitting around talking when I suddenly became super wheezy and my throat and neck got covered in hives and were itchy. I was having an allergic reaction to something, but what I still have no idea. I hadn't eaten in a good 2-3 hours so I really don't think it was related to food. I took a benadryl right away and headed home. At home I took 2 more benadryl and was passed out cold by 8pm! I woke up around 2am and was still wheezy so 1 more beny and I woke up this morning feeling much better.
- I'll have to go back to my MIL's today to pack up some leftovers for myself, cause let's face it, left over Thanksgiving is WAY better than the first time.
- Black Friday? I don't get it. The only reason I am going to take away from my opportunities to sleep is to get to an airport to fly away on an exotic vacation, otherwise screw that. My laptop is an excellent Black Friday resource! Honestly, it is so worth it to me to pay the extra few bucks to shop from my bathrobe than stand in lines in the freezing for hours.
- K is on a naked streak lately. The child cannot keep pants on at home. She is running around bare assed right now. Meanwhile I am wrapped up in fleece pants, thermal shirt and bathrobe. She is cold to touch but insists she is not cold.
- I got quite the bursts of energy this week. On Sunday K and I went to see Santa, then our first visit to
GermyChuck-e-cheese, then to visit a farm and feed goats, final stop at panera for a late lunch. When we got home she was crashed so I brought her into bed and instead of laying down to nap myself I scrubbed the Kitchen, dining room and tv room s.p.o.t.l.e.s.s. - Yesterday (Gobble Gobble) morning I knew that T's cousin and Uncle were stopping here to pick up a cabinet to take over to T's Mom's so I spent the whole morning cleaning our stairs, K's bedroom and my bedroom. Now all I have left is the playroom!
- Christmas tree is going up today! Woot Hoot!
- I was listening to the oldies station the other day and realized that all the music they were playing was from the 70's and 80's. When did that happen? When did the music I grew up loving become the Oldies?
- I may have figured out the mystery to my posts not showing up for a while. When I immediately post them they seem to appear within minutes, but when I schedule them they don't appear for a good 8-10 hours after my scheduled time. Annoying.
- 30 more days till Xmas!!!!!!!!

Klutz central
The whole pregnancy klutziness is taking on a life of it's own this time around. In the past 4 days I have:
This doesn't even take into account all the little things like dropping a pile of napkins, my work portfolio, my keys in numerous puddles. I think I am going to ask for a bubble from Santa.
Today I feel like I was hit by a bus. The fall down the stairs was a doozy. I am bruised from the left shoulder all the way down to my left thigh. I can barely lift my left arm without pain. And of course Tylenol does not touch it at all. I guess I should call the OB and request something stronger, but I am certain I will then have to drive 35 mins into their office to be "checked". I suppose if they are going to do an U/S it wouldn't be bad, but I have a doppler here and was able to find the HB after the fall so a drive out there for a HB check would be silly, IMO.
Ugh, such a klutz.
- Dropped a tall, thick, heavy drinking glass on the counter which then bounced (bet you didn't know glass could bounce) off and fell another 3 feet to the floor smashing into tiny pieces and spreading across our kitchen tile.
- Dropped a plate full of Indian food all over a conference room floor during a work function. (I am sure the people that have meetings in there in the coming weeks will be thanking me...)
- Lost my footing and fell to my ass, and then proceeded to slide down half a dozen stairs before T managed to jump in front of me to stop me from going any further.

Cute Baby Saturday...
My babies snuggling through Saturday morning cartoons. Clearly our cat is not well because he would normally never allow this to occur, not with his sister at least.

Friday Night Leftovers - Holy Crap I'm on time edition!
- It is cold here. I hate the cold. I love my heated seats in my new car though!
- K got a new bedroom set a little over a week ago. It is a loft/bunk bed set with a built in desk, book shelves and dresser. I love it! But the kid has slept like shit since we got it. I switched the mattress for her a few nights ago and it seems to have helped. I also had T lower the mattress so she is closer to the ground. We had 2 fall outs, 2 nights in a row. Since lowering it, all has been a bit smoother.
- We moved the crib, changing table and glider into a spare room. Reality is sinking in. We are having another baby.
- I am almost on board with not finding out gender, but not quite 100%.
- I started my baby name list though. I really like old names.
- Several of my peers and staff lost their jobs over the summer, they are all either gone from the company now or are leaving over the next 6 weeks. I had 3 Employees that were not retained and am so happy that as of today all 3 have found new jobs! 1 stayed internal to the company while the other 2 found external roles that wound up being better in every way (more pay, shorter commute, more PTO!). I am so happy for them. It is such a tough economy but their persistence really paid off.
- My belly seriously popped out this week. The pic I posted yesterday was really dark so I am included a new one today. Taken at 15W2D. This is what I looked like at 19W with K. Oh shit.
- When T's brother passed away a couple months ago T found out he was the sole beneficiary on his 401K. We looked at the amount, which while wasn't substantial, was a lot more than we presently had, and decided to pay off 2 of our debts. As of 11/23 both our Boat and Truck will be totally paid off. This will add $610 back into our monthly budget to go towards another debt. I am greatful to my late BIL for this gift.
- Thanksgiving is next week! I love that day. Yummy food....What is your "specialty" on Turkey day? We go to my MIL's house and I always bring the Sweet Potato Souflee (my Grandma's receipe) and the traditional Green Bean Casserole. Two of my favorites! Although my #1 favorite is the homemade cranberry sauce that my MIL makes just for me. Oh YUM!
- I think I have K's xmas list pretty much done. Not going too crazy on her. T has mentioned a few big ticket items in recent weeks that I have made note of. My MIL just bought a new house and is looking to have custom window covering completed, so I think a gift cert to that company will be her one and only gift (maybe something made by K too).
- I have been thinking about me....not sure what I want for xmas.
- K pushes my buttons big time lately. She gets on my last nerve daily. I think our biggest issue is that she is JUST LIKE me. Not good at all.
- I am going to the casino tomorrow! Can't wait. My girlfriend got an inventational BINGO invite (yes BINGO) and she is allowed to bring a guest (ME!). We get to play for 2 hours and there is a chance to win up to 50K. Then we'll do a late lunch/early dinner and play a little longer before calling it a day. Think I'll get any weird looks being prgnant in the Casino?
- T made dinner one night this week. Oh how I wish I could get him to do it more. That same day I noticed he cleaned toilets too. Hmmm wonder what he did that I don't know about yet??
Ok well that was enough of my rambling. One thing I want to ask you gals, I noticed that when I do post lately it takes almost 2 days to get comments. I am wondering if my posts don't appear in your readers right away? Are my posts delayed? I know another blogger that this happens to all the time. So for the record, I am hitting Publish post at 3:20pm (est) Friday 11/18.
Swing over to Danifred to see what everyone else is bitching writing about today!

Sucky blogger award
I definitely suck at blogging lately. Sorry about that. Having my ability to update blogger from work during lunch has been impactful on me. Outside of work 100% of my computer time is via my phone. And anyone with an iphone knows that blogging from the phone just isn't the same. But here is an attempt at it!
I am popping out a bit. The below photo was from about a week ago, and in a very flattering outfit. Since then I am a bit bigger.
I am now at the point where people feel that it is ok to touch my belly. Well it is not, so stop it. NOW.
My maternity pants are still too big but regular pants are way too small. When I was KU'ed with K I had purchased a few pairs of low rise/low belly pants that were my favorite. 2 pairs are stretched (from my previously big belly) so only 1 pair presently fits.
I hate the "secret belly" pants. Unless your belly is big you spend all day tugging and pulling.
I really feel quite good. Only had mornog sickness (at night though) for a hand full of days in the beginning.
My RLS has kicked in a bit earlier this time. I am trying to walk daily and it seems to help with the RLS onset at night.
Charly horses kicked in in full force last night. Awesome.
We have 5 weeks before our "big" ultra sound is scheduled. T is certain he does not want to know gender (we did not know with K either). I am on the fence, but am beginninga to sway towards waiting again. In the end, whatever I want is what he will agree to.
I miss beer. I may even treat myself to a nice cold one on Turkey day.
I can still sleep on my belly. My time there is limited though.
I scheduled myself for a 90 minute massage on the 28th. Really looking forward to it.

At the end of my rope
- I have been congested for over 3 months straight
- I have a pimple in my right ear
- My ears itch terribly
- Said pimple makes it hurt like hell when I try to scratch
- Almost a million people in my state (something like 890,000) were without power for this whole past week, and some are still
- This makes everyone a bit on edge
- There must be a full moon this week
- K is driving me completely up the wall
- I had to walk away and lock her in her room today so I could take a breather....multiple times
- I came this close to smacking her, but took a time out instead
- My days of working from home with her present are over...for sure
- I had to work from home all last week because there was no power in my office
- While I loved having that option, this has made K
be up my assand I be side by side for several days - I enjoyed going to work yesterday
- I can not wait to go again tomorrow and Thursday
- My throat is itchy
- Christmas is only 46 days away
- My child won't eat any protien (meat), please give me ideas to remedy this
- Maternity pants are too big, regular pants are too small
- Why can't I wear yoga pants to work?
