One more week I have to live amongst clutter and organized chaos. Our floors are getting done Wed and Thurs. We will be able to lay carpets and move our furniture back in on Friday.
I'll have half day Friday to organize but then I am off to stay in a hotel closer to work cause I have to work Saturday morning at 6am (this would require that I leave my house by 4:50...nope) and I need to be in the office. The upside is that the hotel has an indoor pool so I plan on floating as much as possible that night, the down side is the fact that I am losing my Friday afternoon noon/night and Saturday (probably all day) from getting my house back in order.
So far T has prepped the Boy's room, the hall, and started our room today. He is pulling up all the wall to wall and removing staples/nails in advance. It saved us a few hundres bucks to do that part our selves.
Tomorrow I will start moving all of our closet contents to K's room.
Have I mentioned that she and I are going to stay with my MIL Tue-Fri? Oh this should be fun....
Here are a few "before" pics of the floors. To my eyes, they don't appear to be in bad shape...but what do I know?

Sick....
That's about it. SICK. I either battled a case of food poisoning or stomach flu this week. Which one I will never know, but damn it was NOT fun. Especially being in the middle of my 8th month of pregnancy and spending a full 12 hours vomiting. My face looks like I was in a fight. All the blood vessels are broken and all you can see are little bloody dots. Attractive!
Fortunately my MIL had K when it hit me, and kept her for the duration of my illness. When she did come come she returned with pink eye! Awesome! Although it doesn't bother her nearly as much as the pukes would have...so we'll take pink eye thanks.
We were supposed to head to RI to go meet our newest cousin today, but seeing as though I am still a bit nauseas and K's eye is all gooopy, I canceled. It wasn't a smart idea to bring our germs around a 3 month old. Makes me sad though, I want to see him before he is 6 mos!
I did manage to get out of the house today though. We took a ride to Khols (for the life of me I can not find shoes to save my life), and then over to home depot to look at area rugs for our room and the boy's room. By then K was ready to melt down (have I mentioned she has completely given up her naps? FML)so we didn't buy any, just noted down a few choices.
Tomorrow I am hoping to be a bit more human/normal....fingers crossed

Friday Night Leftovers....the really I am really not complaining version...really
Since Danifred is unable to consume any dairy products, in her effort to keep sweet Blue comfy, let me admit that I am consuming enough for both of us. Please go enjoy a big slice of Ice Cream Cake and swing by to pay her a visit.
* I've given up on the whole weight control during pregnancy. I've got a new outlook, it's the "Fuck it" mentality.
* I had a seriously shitty day yesterday. Hit every GD stop light on my way to work, and I go through a good 30+, then I had back to back meetings for a full 9 hrs, then my oil light went off in my car, then I got home to a trashed house and a sleeping child and husband, then My dishwasher started making a horrible grinding noise....oh and to top it all off I had contractions ALL DAY LONG!
* On the plus side my co-workers had a mini shower for me at work yesterday. Just a nice cake and a couple small gifts right in my office. Really nice and very thoughtful. And the dishwasher wasn't broken, T had turned off the water to fix the kitchen faucet and forgot about it...even after hearing the noise and fiddling with it...duh!
* I am so glad that this is my second pregnancy because in all honesty if I were to have all these flippin contractions when I was pregnant with K I would have been one of those woman that's in the ER all the time.
* My birthday was Tuesday....35. Wow.
* I don't like to complain when I am pregnant, but let me just say, I may be breaking my rule over the net couple weeks, cause this momma is feeling pretty shitty right about now...
* I hate that my kid has become a complete bitch lately. Hate it. I feel like I come home daily and spend the next 2 hrs disciplining her.
* Why/how can people not realize how rude their comments are at pregnant women? Today I went to the framer to get the Boy's bedroom prints matted and framed, and a customer said "Oh congrats on your pregnancy! Are you due any time now?". NOBITCHISTILLHAVETWOFUCKINGMONTHS!!SUCKIT!
* We have had 3 different people come by to quote us for refinishing our hardwood floors, since I refuse to pay the $3k we were quoted for wall to wall I didn't want. We had one grimmy old guy come in and spend about 3 mins and tell us $750 no measuring no nothing, a 2nd guy came buy took measurements and said he'd get back to me by today....chirp chirp - no word yet, and the 3rd Guy came by today, had a nice conversations with us, took measurements and said I would receive an email with an itemized estimate by Monday....now we wait.
* Have you ever clicked on the "next blog" link up top of this page? Some nights I sit here and click through several but have yet to find any I want to follow.
Whelp, I am proud I made a few minutes to spill my leftovers on ya. If you are Irish or a drinker have a great St. Patrick's day. If you are neither....watch out for the drunks!

31 weeks
Went in for my 30 (31) week appointment yesterday. Dr. couldn't tell boy's position by feeling him so she pulled out the the US machine. As of yesterday at 5:30 he was head down! Woot Hoot!
I have been given medical parking for work which is great since I normally park so far away (approx 1500 feet from the building). I have been having major muscle spasms in my pelvis which stop me in my tracks. So this is the 1st step in trying to reduce the. spasms.
My BP is good, blood sugar is fine, weight gain.....it was great until
a couple weeks ago. My appetite has been out of control the past couple weeks.
I went shopping today, needed to
get some newer maternity bottoms and properly fitting bras. None of the pants were staying up so on the search I went. I hate shopping pregnant just as much as I do not pregnant. Ugh....
Overall I am feeling pretty good. Other than the spasms, tiredness, shortness of breath, clothes that don't fit, and the peeing every 17 mins, feeling great!
Here are a couple pics of my torpedo belly today.

Friday Night Leftovers....let's get this party started version!
It's been a few weeks since I have been able to link to Danifred during FNLO so please make sure you get over to her house and see what she and others are serving up. She recently had an adorable (huge) baby who I can't get enough of looking at his pics.
- I realized recently that I have only 10 weeks (+/- a week) left before baby boy meets us.
- He may have himself a name too....maybe
- I found his "theme". My goal was to stay away from baby stuff and go with a design that he can grow into a big boy with. Funky designs on the changing table pad, sheets and bumper were my starting points, then I found these awesome prints on Etsy.
- We selected paint colors from the prints (most walls will be the darker brown with 2 accent wals in the light blue) and bought a few gallons! Saturday (tomorrow) is painting day!!
- Carpet guys are coming Tuesday to measure and price us for wall to wall.
- Is it weird to consider wall to wall in one color in the hall and master bedroom, and a different color in the kid's rooms?
- My birthday is in 11 days. I will be 35 years old. I look in the mirror and just don't see a 35 yr old.
- Our cat seems to be on a strike or some other type of thing where he keeps shitting on random rugs overnight. Luckily they are solid and easy to clean up and he is not pissing. But come on, after 17 years why are you shitting on rugs now? Ugh. He is giving cat's a bad name!
- I broke down and registered on BRU. Several people had been asking me if I was registered anywhere. When it came right down to it, we don't need too much.
- I am not sure if I am having a shower/sprinkle/diaper party. I am not throwing one for myself, so not sure if anything is happening at work or by my family, but at least the folks that want to buy something we could use have a starting point now.
- I had a car accident last week. Yup. I rear ended someone on the highway. I was taking a swig of my coffee and whack right into his ass end. He was great though, didn't even get out of car. Just told me it was no big deal and waved me off. Too bad the front end of my car was a bit messed up :( T appears to have repaired it well enough for now.
- Our household clearly goes through a lot of coffee. I buy 2 packs of 400 size 4 cone coffee filters at a time, and yet we seem to run out after about 2-3 months. How are we making 800 pots of coffee in under 6 months never mind 3?
- I'll try to find time to pull together a few belly pics this weekend and post about the pregnancy woes of the third trimester. But I may not, cause I try not to complain too much about pregnancy....I said I try

Last Will and Testament
Do you have one? A Will? A written declaration of your last wishes? A legally binding statement indicating what your wishes are in the event of your death?
I don't.
We don't.
I think about this all the time lately. Mostly because I have not one person in the world that I feel is worthy to take over care, love, nurturing of my child (soon to be children). And becasue I know that I will die. Maybe not today or tomorrow...or maybe it will be today or tomorrow. Who is to say?
K began Pre School recently and in perfect timing she also began having major separation anxiety about a week before. Each morning she begs me to stay home, begs me not to work, tells me how much she will miss me (remember here folks she is home with her Dad almost every day...). On the mornings I drop her at school (only 2 days a week) we go through a more dramatic process.
As I leave her each day I find myself unable to "promise" her that I will see her later. The reality that death is so far out of my own control is really in my face lately. I tell her "Mommy always tries to make it back home to see you", but I just can't promise her that "Mommy will be home later", what if I never make it home that day? What would that do to her if I broke my promise? I never want to break a promise to her, not one that big at least.
I don't know where these morbid (realistic) thoughts are coming from, but they are affecting me huge. I know we need to identify someone to care for our kids. I just don't know how to go about it. Our parents and Aunts/Uncles are too old to take on the responsibility. I only have one sibling, and while K loves her, she has already raised her kid and is onto the next stage in life. We have no cousins we are "close" with, that K knows well, that we would feel comfortable taking her in if we were both gone. Most of our friends are either not parenting material, don't spend enough time with K to set a comfort level (live too far away), or have parenting styles so different from us, that we could not imagine leaving her with them.
Hell, I won't even let any of these people babysit her.
I hope to never have to have my will become a reality, but I do need to prepare for that just in case.
