wow...almost a whole month...

I guess that means it is summer. I tend to slow on the blog front this time of year. Over the past few weeks we have been enjoying the warm weather. Finally here in the North East we are getting summer weather!

I am a summer gal 110%. Bring on the heat and humidity and I am a happy girl. In our house we don't have AC on our main living level so it does make for some pretty hot and sticky days/nights all the more reason for us to get out and do things and eat LOTS of popsicles. We've been going to the beach, to Auntie's pool, to the indoor kids interactive museum, to the playscapes, the zoo and just enjoying our back yard and kiddie pool.....

I am running low on vacation time now, it makes me pretty sad to think about it. I took several days in Feb when we went to FL, a few days in May when my Dad came to visit and just recently 7 days while my Mom came to visit. I will need to be conservative with my remaining time....

I am beginning to feel badly about baby K not being in any organized play groups or child care situation. I feel like she is suffering for it. She does not have any friends her age to play with and I have tried to get her play dates but the people I plan with always seem to blow us off or cancel at the last minute.

We had the State run birth to three program come to our house last week and evaluate her speech or lack of. For expressive language she is 2-3 months behind but for the other 4 categories she is 2-3 months ahead. So when they average it all out she on target and not eligible for any state offered speech therapy. At this point she should have at least a dozen clear words in her vocab and she has maybe 3. The ladies that came were really great, they stayed a while longer and gave T and I some tips on getting her to get more consonants into her sounds. So far we have heard her increase her T's, S's and B's.

Baby K had her first hair cut this month too. It was just her bangs, but still...

So yeah, there you have our updates from the last month! Hope you all are enjoying your late spring/early summer.

You don't have to agree with me.....

I am so tired of the political finger pointing for this giant hole in the earth...Republicans blame Obama, Democrats blame Bush, when in all reality WE ALL are to blame for this. WE are the greedy ones that "need" the oil to survive. I am as equally guilty as every single one of you reading this are. We all drive cars, ride in cars, fly in planes, eat food that was transfered by trucks, wear clothes that were manufactured inplants that needed to be heated.....get the picture? Before you blame others for what WE have done to mother earth, take some accountability.
