Vacation has been great.
Haven't really done too much other than relax.
I've been to my local lake once, did a little shopping, have slept a little late (although not as late as I would like!), eaten out for dinner EVERY night :), attended my only Niece's (and I have no nephews) high school graduation, been out for ice cream.......yeah that about covers it.
It's been raining a lot which is a bit of a bummer, but that's ok, because I am not at work so I really could care less about the weather.
Looking forward to the graduation party this weekend. I get to see my Grandfather and Grandmother and a couple of Aunt's and Uncle's I don't get to see frequently. And then of course I am in the home stretch of my two weeker....
I am thinking that Mom and I may head to NYC either Tuesday or Wednesday...it will all depend on the weather. I am feeling the need for a trip to China town.
Hope you are all doing well.....I'll touch base again soon.

Counting the days......
.....until I am on vacation!
(Haha you thought I was gonna tell you my secret didn't you? Not yet...it's coming though-I must say i am rather proud that I have kept it this long!)
3 (business) days, 4 hours to go!
I can not wait to be off of work for two full weeks! We are not going away this year since we bought the house and are now completely and totally broke!
My Mom will be here for the entire two weeks, so I am sure we'll hit the beach several times, maybe go to the casino one day or night (or day into night), go out on the boat fishing and to pull up the lobster pots. Just a lazy, lounging two weeks......Ahhh
Keeping my fingers crossed for little to no rain!
Another perk to my Mom being here is that my house will get totally cleaned!!!! (right Mom?) She can't sit still, not even for 2 mins, she has to go go go go....fine by me!!

And then there were none.....
The kittens are gone, at least it appears that way. It has been 3 days since we have seen them. I saw the Mama cat come around yesterday morning...she sniffed along the edges of the shed, peered underneath, gave out a meow, and then continued on her way through the yard. Not to be seen again.
I am terrified that they are under there...just no longer "with us". We had such hot days, and they are just so little. I can't imagine that they up and wandered away. They were afraid to pop their little heads out in the world never mind walk into the open woods that are my back yard.
I suppose I should out them out of my head now, and just tell myself that they have started on their journey of life now. Living Wild in the woods. Hunting for their food and drink. They are not the first cats to be born this way and they won't be the last.

Baby kittens.....
We bought our house in Sept 07. With our house we got an old shed in the back yard that is in serious need of replacement. We keep our lawm mowers and yard tools in there.
Well about 3 days ago T called me at work to tell me that there were baby kittens in our yard. 2 of them, a grey one and a tiger striped one. They were playing next to the shed as there mama cat watched over them.
So each night I tried to get a look at them but nothing...until Saturday when I got up. There they were, cute as ever, all 3 of them with their Baby Mama!
There is a Grey one, a Tiger one and a Calico one. Funny how they all look so different. They are clearly several weeks old and ready to be on their own, but they have decided that living under my shed is what they want to do......
(the tiger one is hiding in the grass to the right and the calico has a chipmunk!)
The difficult part of this is the fact that I have a cat, he is Big, he is Old, (he is fixed so he aint no baby dady!) and he is a big Pussy (cat).
My sister said she would take one if it were a male, but I can't get near them. I have tried, but they are clearly wild cats becasue they run and hide at the first sight of a human. Any suggestions how I get them out from under there? And out of my yard? I hate to ply them out with food cause then I wind up owning them!
Anyone looking for a new kitten? Chele...weren't you in the market?

He acts all tough, like he is the king of the world, but he's not. He will totally get his ass kicked if he tries to screw with the baby mama (or hell the kittens could probably kick his ass too!)
