discoveries....

...I work from home on Tuesday's.

Baby K is with me for part of the day while T works. Today it was beautiful out, so I put the blankets down in the back yard (in the shade) and brought my folders and laptop out and set up shop....

Baby K discovered grass for her first time. She was pulling it, rubbing it, running her fingers through it...and yeah I think she ate a little...

She also discovered the trees, the breeze, the birds, the air.....

Goings on....

..I haven't really been "feeling" the blog lately. Just nothing to really write about I guess.

Our weather has completely sucked ass this past month. It rained 21 out of 28 days. I am feeling extremely depressed and I am sure it is in large part due to the weather conditions.

I have only 6 more work days till I am on vacation for 6 days (10 days if you count the weekends)...and then I work four weeks till I have a short vacation again. My Mom is coming up in August. She has not seen baby K since she was 3weeks old! She'll be here a week, and I don't anticipate seeing much of my kid during that time!

Baby K is seriously teething still, she is like a faucet that is turned on high all the time! Water works galore. She has not broken through any more teeth but has quite a few bumps along her bottom gums, the top are still smooth.

T and I brought her out on the boat for the first time this past weekend. We only stayed out for a couple of hours. She was really fussy on both Sat and Sun afternoons and we probably shouldn't have attempted the boat, but we did. She didn't hate it, but she was too tired and cranky to love it.

She came into to visit me at work yesterday. And was a complete angel! T brought her in around 2pm and left her with me while he went to run some errands. She was passed around like a football for 2 hours and posed for lots of pics. Never once making a whimper. She smiled the entire time and had such a full time. She was so tired at the end but wouldn't fall asleep (too much to see) so I packed up my work and off we headed to home. She was asleep before we left the parking lot and slept the whole ride home!

Hmmmm....I guess that's really it. The sun came out today, that was nice. The 4th of July is this weekend, I have NO plans. T is working Fri-Sun, the same 3 days I have off (figures). I hope to take baby K to the beach for her first time and maybe to my Grand Parents pool....pretty low key....

Tornado in CT??

Holy toledo batman! We had tornado's here yesterday. Our weather has been.....off. Here we are almost July 1 and we have had 2 days over 90 degrees...and they were in April! It has been cool/cold, rainy, grey, dismal here...

Yesterday we had a wicked storm, three storms actually. They crossed our state West to East building momentum on there way. As I left work around 5:00 the trees were bent over, the sky was an eerie green/grey color...it was not raining yet. I raced to get ahead of the storm as it was heading towards my house and I wanted to get home first (note I live 46 miles from work!).

I beat it home (phew!) but there were a couple of close calls were I was not so sure I would..you know where the black clouds are right above you...but I prevailed!

The storm we got at home was NOTHING in comparison to the storms around the state. T and I were watching the news around 6:30 when we saw this ! This is where T works part time...where he had just left approx 40 mins before the storm hit! Where he will likely spend the weekend cleaning....

I am so thankful he was not at work when it happened. I would have been a wreck...

Shots in the night...

..I live in the country, some would call it the "hicks". There are no stop lights, the grocery store closes by 8pm, the pharmacy is not open on Sunday's because it is the lords day, we have only 1 pizza place..(OMG the horror!).

The pick up trucks in this town have no tailgates, they are covered in mud, they are jacked up an extra 3 feet...

I am pretty certain that I am the only women in this town that still has all my teeth and whose boobs are not dragging on my knees even with a bra on...

There are these assholes that live next door (mind you we have about 5 acres of woods that separate us) and they are currently lighting off fireworks. They are Fing with my baby's sleep! WTF! It is still Fing light outside and they are over there setting off fireworks. Fing hillbillies.....

Slurred response...

...the moment I saw the phone number come across my cell...the number of one of our directors...I knew it was time to crack open the bottle of Italian red wine....glad I did cause 4 glasses into it I got the balls to delegate to my useless boss and begged off for now.

She can now have her weekend ruined...in the meantime I have a KICK ass buzz.......

...how much I hate my F-ing job??

I was into work at 6am this morning for another production release......now 15 hours later I am still working! Logged into a critical call because we are unable to connect with our Score ordering vendor!!!!!

I hate my job.....

4 month check up....

..Baby K had her 4 month check up today. (she was 4 months on the 8th).

She weighed in at 14lb 13.5 oz (up a little under 3lbs since 2 mo check up), measured 25 and 1/4 inch (up 1.5 inches), head Circmference was 42 cm (up 3cm).

Finally nice weather...

The weather here in N.E. was WONDERFUL this weekend. Low eighties, nice breeze, lots of sun...really wonderful.

I was supposed to sleep late Sunday but only slept till around 8am, I could here baby K screaming and well no Mom can sleep through that. So up I got...and then Daddy went off for nap time! I think it was all a ploy to get me out of bed...

I took Baby K out and ran some errands and then swung by my Sisters to feed her (the baby, not my sister). While there, we decided to try out the pool. Normally her pool is so hot that you don't want to go in it in the summer (it's a condo complex and is only 3 ft deep, so it warms quickly). I wasn't too sure how warm it would be yet since it hasn't been all that warm here and has rained a lot recently. It was pretty cold still, but not too cold to try her in it. She is still unsure how she feels about it.

We also spent a lot of time just hanging out in the backyard. She likes the outdoors, the colors are vivid, the birds make make pretty sounds, and there is a nice breeze...

Rather boring...

Life has really been pretty uneventful lately....but it has been a while since I have posted anything, so here are some updates:

• One of my followers is almost out of her 1st Tri and has not yet announced her pregnancy! CAN NOT WAIT for her to make the announcement so I can link you all to her!!
• T was sick this week, which prompted me to take an unexpected half day on Wednesday and full day on Thursday. I was already scheduled off on Friday, so I wound up with a really well needed looong weekend.
• It has been raining for 3 days straight...but is supposed to be hot and sunny today and tomorrow!
• I went out on Thursday night to see an old friend of mines band play. The band was ok, not really my style music, but it was nice to see him after nearly 16 years. While there a few other High School friends showed up, as did my High School boyfriend (the one I had before T). That was awkward, but I got over it rather quickly. I mean my god we dated 16 years ago!
• I have a friend coming over today to meet baby K. That'll be nice to sit out on the deck and get some rays and catch up.
• Baby K slept away from home for the 1st time this week! She stayed over her Granny's house on Monday night and is staying there again this Monday night. I was super sad leaving her there, I came home and laid my head on her crib mattress, smelling her...It made me so sad to not be able to go in and smell her hair, kiss her head, touch her belly, through the night.
• On the workout front...I am sucking wind. I have really good intentions, I really do. But the 4:45 - 5:00 am wake up call has not been flying for me...I don't know what I will do...I DID go last Saturday, but that was it. I AM going today when I get T up in about an hour. I will intend to go tomorrow and Tuesday am since baby K will be at her Granny's. If I could muster up 3 days a week, I could live with that......
• Baby K still has only 2 teeth, but definitely has a few more on their way in. I swear to you, she could fill a kiddie pool with the amount of drool she produces on a daily basis. She has been going through 3-5 outfits a day, and that is wearing a bib too. She just soaks everything.
• We go for our 4 month check up and shots on Wednesday. I am going to guess that she weighs a little over 16 pounds now. Double what she was at birth! I am having a hard time believing she will be 4 months on Monday already..
• I have been adding videos to Youtube because it is a PIA to put them on here. Feel free to go check them out...search kkend13 to see them.

I woke to the sound of the rain this morning. A sound I love to sleep to. And well, it appears I'll get my share of it over the next couple days.

I took a half day yesterday to come home and care for my babies....yes "babies". T has been fighting a cold/bad allergies for a couple of days and poor baby K can not take care of herself, so I rearranged all my meetings and came home. I also told my boss I likely would not be in today (and already had Friday scheduled off). The part of this that sucks is that the weather is rainy, cold, and raw. So I can't even get her out of the house and away from the germs.

When I went to bed last night I had a splitting headache. When I woke up this morning it was still there. I really hope I am not getting sick, because we all know that when you are a women and get sick you still have to go on with your life. We are not as fortunate as men. We do not get to sleep for days on end. We do not get to have meals brought to us in bed. We do not get to lounge in our PJ's.....

Yeah I hope I am not getting sick...

T has band practice, his band will be performing in a couple of weekends at an outdoor gig and they really haven't practiced much over the past few months.

Baby K is having her first sleep over at Granny's house. It was SO difficult leaving there without her. I know I will survive, I know she will survive (heck she went to sleep like normal), but I miss her already......................
