Baby K had her first Dentist appt today!

She did so well. No tears were shed, she let both the Hygienist and the Dentist count her teeth, brush her teeth, paint fluoride on her teeth. Such a good girl. I hope she stays this well behaved forever....I can dream right?

I might actually be good at this!

Baby K was up in her room for a good hour tonight, singing in her crib, laughing, being a silly goose, before falling asleep. We could hear her and had a good laugh listening.

Per our normal routine I gave it about an hour or so after she was asleep and went up to cover her up and kiss her head. When I opened the door I could smell it....Poop. It all made sense. It took her so long to fall asleep because the poor baby had poop in her pants!

Now, faced with the dilemma of do I change the sleeping baby's poopy diaper or do I let her sleep the next 10-11 hours in it......I had to change it. I mean come on can you imagine sleeping in your own poop for 12+ hours?

I took her out of her crib, took off her PJ bottoms, cleaned her tushy, and placed a fresh dry diaper on her, re-dressed her and back into her crib with her never even flinching!

I am good....

Bad parent or just economical?

I did not get Baby K an Easter basket. I did not get her a gift. I see no point to it, she is 1year 2months old. She has no idea what Easter is. She was not expecting the Easter Bunny to have visited her in the night.

I also did not give her Christmas gifts this year. Again, she was under a year old. No concept of Christmas or Jolly old St Nick. She had too many gifts from others and did not miss not getting anything from us.

Spring has sprung.....

After all our rains and cold weather the past couple weeks we are having a WONDERFUL weekend. I packed up my backpack and grabbed Baby K and off to the beach we went today. It was a bit chilly along the shore, but so enjoyable to breath in the salt air!

Friday Night Leftovers....

• I have wanted to drink every night this week...I haven't given into my desires though....until tonight.
• I stopped on my way home from work and bought $120 worth of wine. My wine rack is beginning to fill in again. That makes me happy.
• I went 2 full days without seeing baby K this week....it killed me.
• Next week I have to attend this leadership breakthrough session for 4 days. I have to drink the cool aid while they are watching and then run into the ladies room to quickly vomit it back up. I have this class looming over my head which is putting me in a shitty F*&^ing mood. I will have to be in these sessions daily from 8am to 6:30pm and they are over an hour from my house. This means I will go 4 full days without seeing my child awake. Such bullshit.
• My cat has been pissing me off. Now that the weather is nice again he wakes me up at like 4:30am to eat and go outside. He pounces on my face, knocks crap off my bedside table, humps my leg, scratches at baby K's bedroom door, what ever it takes to get me up. Little Bastard is lucky I love him.
• My super long, super shitty commute is just that....1hour 50mins to get to work Monday. 1hour 45mins Wed, 2hours 11mins to get home Wed, 1 hour 40mins both ways Thursday, and Friday was the shortest 1hour 31minutes..but it was also good Friday=no school, lots of people with the day off, no traffic.
• Had something that felt wet run across my foot while out to dinner last night. Scared the shit out of me, but had everyone at the table nearly pissing their pants because we were laughing so hard.
• My wine glass is empty...that makes me sad
