Please help me! I am in so much pain!

Please help me....just shy of 39 weeks pregnant with a severely pinched nerve in my neck/back. Can't lift my arms passed my chest, can't turn my head right, hurts (nearly impossible) to move....I have tried heat, Tylenol and Vicodin......my options are limited at this point. Can't take any muscle relaxers or anti inflammatory meds. Any other suggestions from chronic sufferers?? Of course it is a Sunday which limits my options even more.

March of Dimes

Seven months ago my dear friend's Elaine and Scott lost their baby boy Sam far too soon. Elaine is walking for March of Dimes this weekend, which also aligns to what should have been Sam's 1st birthday.

This is not how any parent envisions celebrating their baby's first birthday.

The Room Progress

The Boy's room is making some progress...we still need to hang a couple items, but anchored the dresser and changing pad today, washed all the clothes and bedding, and hooked up the new lamps.

All we need now is the baby!

Friday Night Leftovers...celebration time-come on!

Ah yes another week down....and another Friday night to enjoy some leftovers.  Thanks to Danifred for once again hosting. 

• This is a special FNLO for me for a couple of reasons
1. I am not cooking.  We are going out for dinner to celebrate!  Celebrate what you ask?
2. Today was my last day of work!  YES!!!  I have the next 8-10 weeks off.  And I hope they creep and crawl by at a snails pace.
3. Today is also my first baby, my boy, my kitty kat's 17th birthday!  We celebrated with Breakfast and Lunch of Tuna today...he may even get it for dinner!
• While my week was rounding out at work, my anxiety began to kick in.  Anxiety about the pain I am about to endure when I go into Labor.  I am SO NOT looking forward to that part again. 
• I have been having tons of aches and pains, all normal with being this pregnant, but it is a constant reminder of the pain that is still forthcoming.
• I have to keep reminding myself about the fact that as soon as Labor is over the pain really does disappear.
• What's the deal with the new Blogger layout?  I think it's shitty.  What are they trying to do, be Facebook?
• Which, by the way, I actually like the timeline view.
• This weekend we are supposed to get some pretty horrible weather (like 5 inches of rain in a 12 hr period - but we really need rain so bring it on) so my plans are to hole up in the house and clean, clean, clean.....
• I have also decided to hire a house keeper for the next couple weeks.  I will take care of the clutter and what not, but she will do the scrubbing.  I just don't have the energy for all the scrubbing, bending, etc...

Onto Pregnancy Stats....

• Due Date is 5/9/12
• currently at 37.3 weeks
• 19lbs gained
• belly is measuring 34-35 cm
• BP is steady at 120/70 (my normal when no Preg too)
• Urine is good, no protein
• Just had what may have been my first bought of heartburn this whole pregnancy yesterday
• Had what may have been my 3rd charlie horse last night (my f'ing leg is still killing me)
• Haven't been having many BH Contraxs this week, but have been having a lot of menstrual type cramping
• Boy is a kicker - BIG TIME
• He is definitely slowing down though
• I feel like I have a dropped but then I look in the mirror and do still look a bit high

With all that....any guesses as to when he will make his entrance?

Friday night leftovers....It's all coming together....

Sorry for my tardiness......swing over to visit Danifred (she recently posted more pics of her super cute Blue) and see who else was sharing this week.


Over the past 2 weeks things have begun to come together. The boy's room is put together enough for his arrival. There are still pics to be hung and changing pad to be placed (awaiting it's arrival). But otherwise I am ok with how things are. A couple boxes of diapers have been purchased and the 0-3 months clothes are cleaned, folded and put away. Carseat, baby bouncer and swing seat covers are all washed and re-installed.

While I have focused most of my energy around this activity the remainder of my house is rather cluttered and in need of a deep clean. I am contemplating calling my MIL's housekeeper to come by a couple times or for a long day of deep cleaning.

Things left to do; pack hossy bag (I created a list at least, so even if I don't get it packed T can get what I need), instal the car seat base to my car, by a big sister gift for K, take K shopping to buy a baby brother gift, hang pics in his rooms, wash bottles and buy replacement parts. I think that may be all....pretty easy stuff really.

Do any of any with leather seats have kiddos in carseats? Do you have a seat cover? We have a towel under K's seat but I wanted to invest in an actual seat cover (so my seats don't get ruined) but everything I read say seat covers are not safe....not sure I buy that though

I have 5 more days of work! 5!!!!

I have a feeling this kid will not stick around to his EDD (5/9). I am guessing he will come the weekend of 4/28. Now mind you I am ALWAYS wrong when guessing people's birth dates, baby genders, size, etc..so take my guess with a grain of salt.

I am officially entering the "I am so uncomfortable it hurts to breath" stage, but I am really trying to not complain outwardly. T hears me complain, but not too often. I feel bad cause I can't do much playing with K these days. I am really looking forward to my leave so I can give her back her Mommy who can run, jump, and climb with her.

I promise to post a few pics of the boy's room once we hang the pics.

Now off to drink some coffee and figure out what kind of chores I can do from my ass today!

Friday Night Leftovers.....seeing the cobwebs edition

Swing over to see Danifred...she is in count down until she returns to work while I am counting down to my last day!!!

- 11 more work days, 5 of those are in the office, and only 2 more Mondays!!!
- One of those work days is tomorrow, as in Saturday, as in Easter weekend...
- I am treating myself to a night in a hotel near my office tonight. I came up at 3pm and spent a little over an hour in the pool before showering and going us for a nice dinner with a previous boss and his wife.
- Our hard wood floors were refinished this week and I LOVE THEM!! So worth the mess and displacement for a few days.
- I love them so much that I had the guy measure my dining room and living room to price out refinishing them.
- After the guys moved our furniture back in today I managed to get our master back in 80% order. I'll finish it up after work tomorrow.
- I also put together the Boy's crib (finally!)
By the end of next weekend I should have his room in good shape. Our prints are framed and ready for pick up, his crib and dresser are setup, new rug is down.
- I need to wash some outfits,crib sheets, carseat cover, bottles....and we will be ready for a baby! Woot Hoot!!
- BTW, due date is 32 days away!
- Something I learned this week during the floor renovations-the dust goes everywhere (the guys did a great job cleaning most of it) and is an excellent way to see cobwebs you had been missing for a long time :)
- Oh yeah, I had a new experience this week...a bikini wax. NEVER AGAIN. EVER EVER EVER AGAIN. Nuff said.
- I have succumbed to the "50 shades of Grey" cliche. I downloaded the book to my IPAD 4 days ago. I am 11 chapters in already. I generally am not a big reader. Short stories are my thing. They keep my attention just long enough and then they end. PERFECT. But I must say this book has kept my attention.
- I have some stuff for K's Easter Basket, but honestly haven't put much thought or effort into it. I mean she is 3, she doesn't get it yet, might as well use that to my advantage.

Time for me to sleep, need to be up at 5 to get into my office. Happy Easter!! (I'll post some pics of the floors/rooms in a couple days)
