(again no badge-damn iPhone!)
- At 21 wks pregnant I have gained a whopping 7 lbs! While that sounds great you should know that I am only 10 lbs away from my end weight when I had K :( So I started this pregnancy 11 lbs heavier han hers...
- This nameless baby boy whom will be referred to from here on out as Aloka (long story behind that, too long for FNLO), is breech and over the past 3 days has made this fact very well known. You see apparently my bladder makes a fantastic trampolene, while my rib cage functions excellent for head butting.
- I have spent the last 2 days either standing are laying on my left side because I am so uncomfortable. And I have at least 18 more weeks to go.
- Tieing (or is it tying?) my shoes is already a challenge.
- My belly button is almost flat with my belly. I live how soft the inside if your belly button is when it starts to pop!
- Both K and T have felt Aloka kick. K LOVES to pretend she has a baby in her belly too.
- I am in a bit of shock over the fact that we are having a boy. I was certain I was having another girl.
- I gotta say, boy stuff just isn't that cute.
- I did buy him his first piece of clothing. A cute summer tee that says "rocker" with a drum kit.
- Our hostess, Danifred, is a mere few weeks away from her baby boy being born! Sounds like she and bee may have agreed on a name. Good for them, we are finding Boy names to be SO tough!

It's a ......
BOY!
If you look at the dot in the below picture, directly above it you'll see his "boy part".
Everything is measuring perfect. He is currently sitting breech, but still plenty if time to get him to move head down.

Gender Guesses?
Tomorrow morning at 8:30 am we go in for our 20 (21 in this case) scan. I am still fighting to find out the gender, T is still fighting against. It'll come down to the moment I suppose.
I thought it would be fun to hear your predictions of the gender, just in case....
Nausea and vomiting around 8 weeks, but only lasted a few days
No major acne outbreaks
No sciatica or other back problems
Super sore boobies (still)
Carrying Low (at least I think)
Craving all things salty, spicy and carbohydrates
HB has been @140 - 143 since 14wks
Really tired in the 1st tri, but regained energy
Overall feeling really good
(I know I said I would take a non headless pic, but really my nose is just so flipping big I can't stand the side profile view of my face)

Friday night leftovers....'twas two nights before Xmas edition!
Sorry - no badge avail for you this week.
Baby stuff:
Wishing you and your families a Very Merry Christmas~
- In order to get my post in on time I am on the IPad and don't have the capability to post pics. Anyone else using an IPad or IPhone found a good app that works with blogger?
- Christmas is less than 48hrs away! I really do love this holiday.
- My house is trashed, and today is a MUST clean day since we have friends and family coming here Christmas day. There is just so much to do, and quite frankly, I have zero energy to do any of it.
- It has been in the mid 50's here this week. I'll take it. After last winter and our huge Halloween snow storm this year, I wouldn't mind a nice mild winter.
- A Christmas Story begins airing on TBS tomorrow! 24 full hours of the BEST Christmas movie ever!
- I am keeping Christmas day pretty low key. Lunch meats, salad, fresh rolls...help yourself cause I am not waiting on you, kind of a day.
- Here in CT our liquor stores (or as we call them - package stores or packies) are closed on Sundays. Because Christmas and New Years fall on Sunday this year the state has mandated that they be closed on Monday too. Holy crap are people pissed! Now really, everyone knows this days in advance, why the need to be so crappy about it? I don't get it. Can't you just buy extra when you go on Saturday?
- Can't wait to see K open gifts this year! GiGi got her a big wheel. T out it together last night and I hid it under a blanket till Sunday. Luckily our weather will be nice so we can go outside to ride it!
- Laying in bed with K the other night, reading bedtime stories, she lifted up her shirt and rubbed her belly. When asked what she was doing she replied with "I rubbing my baby, see I have a baby in there mommy, want to feel it kick?" and then she pushed her belly out with a jolt. I laughed so hard I peed my pants a little.
- Speaking of peeing pants, I do that a lot.
Baby stuff:
- 20weeks + 3days, half way mark passed!!
- Feeling more movement daily, mostly still very low, close to my pelvic bone/bladder, although last night we (T and I) felt it up pretty high.
- T really does not want to know the gender, I really do. He of course has agreed that we can do what I want, but I feel bad. I just "know" I can't find it and not spill it to him. Not sure what to do.
- I will take a belly picture this weekend that does not entail a bathroom reflection, or a headless body!
- Looking forward to Wed.'s appt!
- Sleep is beginning to become uncomfortable, but still bearable.
- Heartburn has begun to kick in this week too. Hope Santa puts some tums in my stocking!
Wishing you and your families a Very Merry Christmas~

Friday Night Leftovers.....brain dump
Thank you to Danifred for giving me a place to brain dump weekly...
- I am done shopping for Christmas, that means done buying, but not that I am pleased. I feel bad that T is kind of getting jipped. When I wrapped last night it hit me that he didn't get anything that I am excited to give him.
- K on the other hand, Oy Vey (funny how I used Jewish slang when discussing Christmas eh?). I didn't spend a lot on her, but holy christ that child has a lot of crap. I actually took 4 presents and put them back in the attic for her birthday which shortly follows Christmas.
- I was out today getting a few things for our friends kids and encountered all the grumpy shoppers. This was a reminder to me of why I try to get all my shopping done BEFORE Thanksgiving.
- The last place I stopped, after a very long day, had a parking for pregnant and new mom's spot. I totally parked there. And didn't feel guilty about it one bit!
- Lately K is obsessed with a "Baby Bird". We had several nights/days of waking in tears because she wanted this baby bird so badly. I searched the mall one night last week after work and the only flippin "bird" I could find was Woodstock from Charlie Brown. He worked and it is now her favorite thing in the entire world (next to her na'night).
- Bedtime has been getting much better. That could be a whole other post though.
- I broke down and upgraded our cable box to a DVR. In trying to keep our expenses down I had steered away from the added $7.95 a month, however on demand is being a complete dick lately and delaying the showing of programs for a full week. This means that you are always a full week behind. BS. I must say I have loved not trying to force myself to stay awake for my favorite shows.
- Have you been watching American Horror Story on FX. LOVE IT! Really great writing, and super scary.
On the Baby front, oh yes that's right, I am pregnant.
- With K I tracked every ounce I gained. I took belly photos every 2 weeks. I wrote down ever twing, cramp, kick, etc.
- This pregnancy is so different.
- Here I am at 19.5 weeks (almost half way!) and I don't even look at the scale when I go into the OB. I have yet to take 1 real photo of my belly (work bathroom mirror photos don't count). And quite frankly I don't have anything to really write down cause I feel so damn good. (knock on wood).
- Our "big ultra sound" is 12/28. We haven't discussed it in a while, but the last time we did we were not in agreement over finding out gender.
- When I look at my belly, I feel way bigger than I was with K at this stage.
- I can feel more baby kicks over the past few days. Mostly when I am in bed, at rest, and laying on my back. Not strong enough for anyone else to feel yet though.
- My RLS is kicking in. Going to have to bring it up when I go in on the 28th. I had hoped to make it longer without having to be on Vicoden, but it is getting really bad at night.
- I dreamt about beer last week for 3-4 nights in a row. When I was awake I could taste beer. On Tuesday night after K was in bed I cracked open a Smithwicks and can I tell you, it was the BEST beer I have ever drank in my entire life! No lie. That one beer was better, in many ways, than an orgasm. Craving is now gone and I was more than satisfied.
- I have begun to make a baby name list. I think I have my favorite girl name ready, one that I am willing to fight for. The boy names, once again, are a challenge. The name we chose when pregnant with K, had she been a boy, we have since shared with people, and actually have 1 friend that used it, as well as several that use the nicknames for it, so it is now off the list.

I didn't know I was pregnant....
....for real, how could you not know you were pregnant? Have you seen the program I am referring to? I spent a good 3 hours on my couch on Sunday watching this ridiculous show. If I had never been pregnant before I may be able to grasp the concept of not knowing I was pregnant, but seeing as though I have been, I can not even imagine how anyone can go a full 9 (10) months and "not know I was pregnant". Between the huge basketball (large melon if your lucky) that grows out of your abdominal cavity and the kicking, scratching, and hiccups that cup from within, I just don't buy the not knowing.
This was what I looked like at 40wks with K. Do you think I could have gotten away with not knowing?
Okay, okay. I know a lot of these women go a bit early due to lack of prenatal care, so here I was at 25 wks (just after viability). Again, think I could have gotten away with it?
Do any of any of you now any real life "didn't know" stories?

20 Questions- Christmas Style
I am stealing this from Rebecca because I have nothing, or maybe too much, rolling around in my head to come up with my own ideas. So thanks Rebecca!
1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping paper for T and K as well as for "special" gifts or gifts for kiddos. There is nothing better than getting a beautifully wrapped, decorated with bows and tags on Christmas. For most adults, co workers, etc I do gift bags.
2. Real tree or Artificial? Artificial. When we bought our house I bought an articulate, pre lit. I love it! I also love a real tree, but I generally have to handle the maintenance, so this one is way easier.
3. When do you put up the tree? The day after Thanksgiving! If I wouldn't get weird looks I'd do it sooner! When we had a real tree I waited until 2 weeks before Xmas, so yet another reason I love my artificial.
4. When do you take the tree down? Generally New Years weekend, or the week/end after. But always before the 2nd week in Jan. I do leave my window candles up and lit until @early March.
5. Do you like eggnog? I admit it. Bleeechhh!
6. Favorite gift received as a child? Barbie dream house! Hands down BEST GIFT EVER!
7. Do you have a nativity scene? Nope. I used to, but feel it's inappropriate/hypocritical since we are not religious.
8. Hardest person to buy for? Me :). I buy what I want when I want it, so at Christmas I have a terrible time coming up with a list.
9. Easiest person to buy for? T and K. I know what they "need".
10. Mail or email Christmas cards? Mail! I have never received an email card.
11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? Probably a vacuum or blender or something like that.
12. Favorite Christmas Movie? A Christmas Story! Meatloaf, beat loaf, I hate meat loaf!
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? Usually over the summer at fairs.
14. Ever recycled a Christmas present? Oh please, of course! The trick is making sure y don't give it back to the person it originated from.
15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Hmmmm, ham. No one in my house likes ham except me, so this is a big treat to me.
16. Clear lights or colored on the tree? White lights on our tree, fireplace, and in windows, but love old fashioned, big bulb, colored lights outside on bushes, the house, etc.
17. Favorite Christmas Song? Silent night, it brings a tear to my eye.
18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? We began staying home last year. I made the decision that with a child, I wanted her to be able to stay home and enjoy her holiday. We travel before and after, but Christmas day is spent at home.
19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer? Sometimes, but not always.
20. Angel on the tree top or a star? K insists on a star.
21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? Everything on Christmas morning.
22. Most annoying thing about this time of year? How much focus people put on spending.
23. Favorite ornament, theme, or color? Hmmm, see my response on light colors.
24. What do you want for Christmas this year? My family to love their Christmas. And a case for my phone, which I drop all the time!
