1st day of School
K started Pre School today. Drop off was tough, but we both got over the emotions fairly quick. Two mornings a week for 5 hours. This is a good thing right?

fnlo....i am on time!
-k's 3yr check was this week. She weighs 34lbs and is 40in tall! She went from the 95th percentile to the 70th. Which is fine.
- for the past few months K has been getting up at like 6:30 am (or earlier). Nothing we do changes this. This week however she has slept till 8 daily. It has made leaving for work SO much easier. When she is up she does the whole "please dont go, why do younneed to work, i want you to stay and play".....guilt
- Forget terrible 2's....we never had them, but WOW have we hit the terrible 3s!
- pre school starts on Tues. So excited for her.
- I realized that we have only 12 weeks before baby is due. This has prompted me to start getting stuff together. I bought a changing pad cover and a breathable bumper with colors that would inspire me. then i did some etsy browsing, which led to a rock and roll/guitar theme. Now we need to paint and do rugs, then the set up can begin.
- I passed my gd test! Bring on the ice cream!
- K was able to have her bday party last weekend. too bad we both woke up from nap time with fevers and stomach bug.

Friday Night Leftovers...the ...... version

-T and I are currently debating wall to wall carpet vs. refinishing our hard wood floors in the baby's room, hall and our bedroom. (we did k's room when I was preggo with her)
-I am in favor of the floors, but since that requires T to do the labor he wants rugs.
-Whatever we choose needs to be done NOW!
-I write to a baby name blog and got several good suggestions for the baby's name.
-My mom is here=my house is clean!
-No honestly though I love that she is able to play with K for a few days. (and the perq that she cleans during nap)
-I've decided that my favorite thing about working from home right now is that when I pee my pants no one notices the wardrobe change.
-12.5 weeks till my EDD.
-Shit I need to get some stuff done around here.
-Tomorrow is K's bday party, of course it is going to snow. Which means people will cancel. I just hope it's not bad and most come. She is beyond excited.

Happy Birthday my sweet girl!
You may only be 3, but you are kind, caring and sensitive.
Your imagination expands every moment of your day and night.
I cannot wait to see you as a big sister. You are so gentle when you are near other children, I know you will love your baby brother more than daddy and I could imagine.
It's hard to believe 3 whole years have gone by since you started your life with us. Every change we have faced has been full of happiness and love. Happy Birthday sweet Princess, Mommy and Daddy love you!

10 things about this pregnancy
10 - People feel that it is perfectly acceptable to approach you and get all up in your business! When are you due? Is it a boy or a girl? Do you have names? Do you have other children? This fact kind of creeps me out. It makes me start to get paranoid that they are going to follow me, pull me into a van, take me to a far away cabin and cut my baby out of me.....morbid right?
9 - When people see I am pregnant they immediately look at my hand for a wedding ring. I have noticed this WAY more this time around.
8 - People feel that because this is a boy and I already have a girl that now we have "the perfect family". Well quite honestly our family was perfect when it was me and T, and remained perfect when we added K. I don't see how a baby Boy makes it "the" perfect family. If this were another girl it would be equally as perfect.
7 - People clearly don't understand how rude it is to say things like "wow are you ready to pop or what?" or "are you sure thre is only one" or " we're you this big with your 1st". I bite my tongue every time and calmly tell them tht I have gained a whopping 8lbs and that the fact that my belly is so big is a sign that I am growing a healthy baby....what I really want to say is "hey you fat ass, fuck off!"
6 - My belly is SO itchy this time. I mean SO itchy.
5 - I am starting to enter that grunting, moaning, panting phase....you know the one. Every time I get up from the chair/bed/floor I grunt or moan. Every time I walk up a flight of stairs I am panting like a dog in 100degree weather (my house is a split level so I have lots of stairs to contend with and at work I am on the 2nd floor and REFUSE to take an elevator for 1 flight)
4 - I forgot about the crotch pain associated with the 3rd trimester (I am just a couple days away!!). Over the past few days the evil crotch tearing, muscles and bones ripping apart, innards ready to fall right out onto the floor feeling has returned FULL FORCE!
3 - I may have had my 1st official "nesting" moment today. Either that or it's just my normal "Mom is coming to visit" cleaning pannic!
2 - I am loving, loving, loving feeling this kid move. He loves the sound of T's voice,but doesn't like when T puts his hand on my belly. He also seems to love when I sing to K at bedtime. Hush baby is usually the one he reacts to best.
1 - Selecting a forever name for a person is hard work. It's like making or breaking a multi million dollar deal.
